Booklets
A booklet is a multi-page document that is folded and stapled. Booklets are a great way to increase your professionalism and help your customers/prospects gain more comfort over your ability to service their needs. Here are some common uses for booklets:
- newsletters
- product catalogues
- company or product profile
- educational material
- customer awareness guides
The most common booklet sizes are A4 and A5 pages (A3 folds to A4 and A4 folds to A5). Because a booklet is folded it can only be printed in lots of 4 pages (one A4 sheet becomes 4 A5 sides when folded in half). Booklets can have a thicker cover than the internal pages if you want. You can also get them in smaller sizes, including A6, DL, CD cover (120x120mm) – almost any size you want! We can even print some pages in colour and some in black-only to help reduce costs (but some restrictions apply here).
Booklets can be expensive to print as they require lots of manual labour and multiple plates (if being offset printed). Due to their cost booklets may not be best suited to mass-mailouts. However, they are great tools when working with a warm lead who has already indicated that they are interested in your services. A booklet can be a great way to showcase your abilities or increase the expertise that prospect attributes to you. Research shows that if you can educate your customer well (booklets do this exceptionally well) you significantly increase you chances of converting that prospect to a customer. So a few dollars well spent may yield great returns!
In order to keep per-unit costs down many printers would suggest that you make a large order and warehouse what you don’t need now. They will then ship it to you as needed. But invariably something would change and the material in the warehouse becomes out of date and you have to choose between either throwing them away or keep using them even though they aren’t what you really want.
Digital printing can offer very large economies, especially if you are looking at printing lower quantities. Not only are our booklet prices much lower than our competitors we can produce them much faster (same day even). We even have a special pricing offer to help you get the best value possible – combining the efficiencies of a larger order with the power of digital printing. Here’s how it works:
- pre-pay for at least 100 units up front – the more you pre-pay the cheaper the per-unit price is
- order any quantity you want at any time (minimum order of 10) for a handling fee of $25 per order (plus delivery) – first order pays only delivery (no service fee). We just ask for at least two working days notice (three days if ordering over 100 units).
- keep ordering in any quantity (paying the service fee) until you have used up your pre-paid quantity (pre-paid quantity must be used up or rolled-over within one year)
- Changes to the artwork? No problem. You’ve got 2 options:
- pay a $100 service charge to cover re-setting up the job and we will keep supplying the updated booklet until your pre-paid quantity runs out
- pre-pay for another batch and we will add the unused quantity to it at no extra charge (e.g., you’ve got 100 left, so you pre-pay for another 250 and we keep sending until you’ve used up 350 of the new design)
This means that you get the advantage of higher volume pricing and relatively low cost of changing your artwork. This translates to minimal wastage and savings hundreds of dollars when compared to ordering in smaller quantities. The more you commit to the cheaper per unit they will be. The more you order each time and the less you change your artwork the cheaper your overall costs will be. And to top it off – it is effortless on your part – we do all the heavy lifting. Once you have placed your initial order you just fire off an email and a few days later your reprints will arrive.
